Tizen or Galaxy Watches

A collection of frequently asked questions related to Galaxy watches running Tizen OS.

How do I install Pujie Black on my Galaxy Watch?

Pujie Black can be installed from the Galaxy Store. You can find it by searching for Pujie Black in the Galaxy Store, or you can follow this link. Or follow these steps:

  1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone
  2. Go to the Discover tab at the bottom
  3. Tap 'View More'
  4. In the Galaxy Store, search for 'Pujie Black' by tapping the little magnifying glass in the right top
  5. Install Pujie Black
Why can't I find the watch app in the Galaxy Store?

Pujie Black is currently compatible with the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2, Gear Sport and the Gear S3. If you don't have one of these devices, the app won't show up in the store.

Why does AOD (Always On Display) not work with Pujie Black?

We have found that sometimes you will need to restart your watch after installing Pujie Black to get AOD to work. Besides that, Samsung uses a value called On Pixel Ratio (OPR) to determine if AOD is allowed. If the OPR is bigger than 15%, AOD is not allowed, and the Pujie Black ambient face will not show. You can fix this by making the ambient face less bright.

When you switch to ambient in the phone app preview, you will see the OPR of your watch face.

How to reduce the OPR?

In general reducing the OPR can be done by reducing the amount of visible items in Ambient mode and by making sure you use a black background. To further reduce the OPR you can make elements less bright, by using less bright colors.

Alternatively you can add a semi-transparent overlay in the Foreground to dim all elements.

Can I use Samsung Health instead of Google Fit for the fitness data (step count etc.)?

Currently Samsung Health is not yet supported, but we are working on adding this in the next version.
